Sweet and refreshing pear juice or a nutrient packed autumn greens pear juice. Both ways are delicious and easy!
When we think of autumn fruits, apples usually come to mind, but it’s pears that are my fall favorites.
Pears are softer and much juicier than the standard apple, plus they are packed with antioxidants.
In this post I’ll show you two delicious ways to enjoy the juice of this sweet and refreshing fall fruit!

The first juice is a pure pear juice.
Made with nothing but ripe Bartlett pears and a little bit of lemon to help the juice stay fresh for longer.
The second recipe is an autumn greens pear juice (pictured) that combines fresh fall veggies with pears for a nutrient dense juice that has less carbs and sugar than the pure pear juice.
Both juices are delicious and super easy to make!
How Much Juice Is In A Pear?
The amount of juice in a pear depends on both the ripeness of the fruit and the juice extraction method.
But a general rule of thumb is that 2 ripe Bartlett pears equals about 1 cup of juice.
A quality cold-press juicer will give you the best yield of juice, but you can also blend the fruit and extract juice with a nut milk bag.
If you choose to use a blender, you’ll want to use a high speed blender like this Vitamix Explorian that can completely liquefy the ingredients.
How To Make Pear Juice
Wash and dry all fresh produce. Halve the pears and remove the stems.
If you are using a blender, blend all of the ingredients along with the ice and water until liquefied.
Otherwise use a cold-pressed juicer to extract the juice.
Fresh Tip: If blending, you’ll need a high speed blender to get a good yield out of your juice. My top rated blender is this Vitamix, but the Vitamix E310 and E320 are also great for juicing and more affordable.
*Optional: If you use a blender you can strain the mixture through a nut milk bag to separate the pulp for a true “pressed juice” consistency and texture.
How Long Does Pear Juice Last?
Like all fresh juice, pear juice loses its freshness quickly.
But properly stored juice can last up to 2-3 days.
As soon as you make it, the juice begins oxidizing (the natural process that turns fruit brown).
The oxidation process degrades the nutrients in the juice so it is best to drink it as soon as possible.
To maximize the shelf life of your juice and minimize oxidation, store your juice in an airtight jar in the fridge.
You should fill the jar to the very top with juice so there is the least amount of air in the jar as possible. I use this 6-pack of glass bottles to store my juices.
